Alice

By Sunder

Say my name once more
with your lips so tender and voice so soft,
filling my world with hue and color.
Your unforgiving gaze vociferating, drilling a heart so hollow.

I would die for yet another of your touch so hoarse.
My heart, my core, my whole is yours.
My being is what I would like to endorse,
let time flow and sail its course.

I give you everything that I own--
Money, Fame, Glory, Prestige,
Reputation and Power.
My Life as tribute!
just so I could spend the remainder of my life with you forever and ever.

Petty thoughts that they are, I know they're naive.
You told me once and I'll be glad
if it were to happen once more
just so I could feel inferior to you as a whore.

I am torn to shreds by my choices
of whether or not to let my dignity be bludgeoned
as I was smitten by your emanation of the unknown.

As they say, curiosity killed the cat
as you added fuel to the fire.
I have an axe to grind,
hurting you was my next desire.
